Hello Everyone! My name is Kirsten! I was born into this business and wouldn't change a thing. My parents started Kountry Pet Resort over 42 years ago and now I have taken it over for them. I love the work I do and especially love my clients and their pets. My goal everyday is to make sure that all my clients feel confident and comfortable leaving their "furry" loved ones with us! I have my certificate for Pet First Aid and CPR training. In my spare time I love scrap booking, cooking and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to meeting your "furry" family member soon!

My name is April. I have been employed by Kountry Pet Resort for most of my adult life; I have been an employee for the last 15 years. I grew up and went to school in Elgin, and also started college to become a nurse. I’ve lived in Hampshire for the last 11 years and am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two amazing daughters, Morgan and Jozie. Our four legged kids are Roxy she is a 5 year old brindle boxer and Elly our 2 year old black Lab. In my free time I love spending time with my family, reading, photography, and shopping. I am a loyal cubs fan, and also a fan of the Black Hawks and Bears.

Hi, my name is Jerid. I am the Lodging manager at Kountry Pet Resort & Training Center. I have been working for this wonderful, family owned company since 1999. I have an Associates degree from ECC. In my spare time I love watching the Bears, and taking my two wonderful pups to the dog park. When I decided to get a dog the hardest thing was picking what kind. One of the reasons why I love my job soooooo much is, it's like I have a dog of every kind. From my beautiful Great Dane (Lilly) to my super smart Rott (Sadie) I truly love them all like they are mine.

Hi, my name is Sue. I am the master groomer here at Kountry Pet Resort. I've been here since 1998 and have probably styled your pet at least once. Originally I went to beauty school and realized that I wasn't happy styling people and thought maybe I would be happier grooming pets instead. So I went to grooming school and quickly figured out that 4 legged customers were a lot more enjoyable than 2 legged customers I previously had. I started grooming full time from that point on, which was back in 1988. I have 4 "fur children" Opus, Abby, Layla and Millie. In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, reading and spending time with my family.

Hi everyone, I'm Jen. I started here at Kountry Pet Resort in the summer of 2006 as a part time dog walker/ camp counselor. Since then, I have found my love as a pet stylist. It is my greatest passion to send dogs home looking and feeling great. Kountry Pet Resort has been such a great blessing for me. In fact, I met the love of my life here. We married in October of 2012. Together, we have a beautiful little girl along with our three furry babies. Over my years of working at the resort, I have come to find many favorites among many of the dogs here. Don't be surprised if you find your canine kid has a special place in my heart.

HI! My name is Nicole and I have been with Kountry Pet Resort since early 2010. When I was a little girl I used to say I wanted to work at a pet shop when I grew up. My love for animals goes back for as long as I can remember. I am a licensed cosmetologist and avid sports fan. In my spare time I enjoy being outside in the sun, walking my dogs and spending time with my family. I am the proud mother of 2 furry babies, Ginger and Gracie. They are my entire world. If getting unconditional love from those 2 weren't great enough, I am even luckier to be able to go to work and get unconditional love from hundreds more! I promise to always care for your pet just as if they were my own.

My name is Kathy, I have worked for Kountry Pet Resort since early 2013. A pet can be someones love, their best friend and their everything. The love that people and their animals share is amazing and simply beautiful. From having ,Great Danes,To german shepards to even the smallest of dogs they have always been in the comfort of loving owners and family. This is why I love what I do.

Hi! I am Stephanie Van Dyke. I am a young woman who’s a big dreamer, loves to write and read, loves her family, and loves animals a lot which is why I like to work at Kountry Pet Resort. I have worked at KPR since 2009. I clean the Cattery and care for the cats that visit for weekends or extended stays. I enjoy seeing all the familiar cat faces and I think they enjoy seeing me too! Sometimes I can also help with the parties that are given for the dogs. Growing up, my family and I have lived in Plato Center for twenty-nine years. We have always had many kinds of pets from dogs, cats, fish, birds, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I now have a new puppy that my family and I rescued named Heidi. We are not sure what breed she is, but she sure is a cutie! I walk her around my neighborhood every day and practice what we have learned in the training classes we have taken at KPR.

Hello I am Jackie. I joined the Kountry Pet Resort team as a stylist in early fall of 2013. I have always loved animals and started working with dogs right out of High School. I have been a groomer for about 11 years and I truly enjoy making other peoples' fury friends look gorgeous! I have three of my own fury babies and a turtle which I rescued as a baby! I am also the proud mother of kids who love animals as much as I do.

Hi there everyone! I'm Raechel the Play Yard manager. I have been with my KPR family for 4 years. I know all of your kids and spend time with them whether it would be during a lodging stay or if they're just here for daycare. I have had a passion for all animals since I can remember. As cliché as it sounds dogs will always have a special place in my heart. I was the odd child growing up, at 5 years old studying dog breed encyclopedias. In my spare time I love spending time with my children, which include Boomer (my 8 year old Boxer), Dewey ( my 6 year old Miniature Dachshund), Bogie (my 3 year old Boxer) and Jinx my cat, who definitely thinks she's part of the pack! I love my job, which truly isn't work for me. I love all pets that walk through our door and treat them as if they are one of my own.

Hi!! I’m Lindsay and I’ve been an animal advocate my whole life. I’ve been lucky enough to follow my dream of animals all over the world. I have bachelors in Biology from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and from there I did two years of AmerCorps. I was lucky enough to be involved in some great conservation education projects. I also have a degree in Exotic Animal Training and Management from Moorpark College. I’m currently enrolled in a master’s program in zoo management as well. I have my own little zoo at home that includes the furry, feathery and scaly variety that’s ever expanding.

Hi my name is Karen I’m the one at the front office always greeting you and your pet. I am newer to the KPR family but you’d never know based on the love I give the animals. I always await your pet’s arrival with their favorite treat in hand and plenty of hugs & kisses. My job here is to make your pet feel so comfortable walking through our front door that they can’t wait to come back for another visit. Having volunteered before at an exotic animal sanctuary as well as a wild life rescue, I feel very comfortable around all sizes and breeds of pets. I also interned at a veterinary clinic where I helped care for animals in need. I have 2 cats named Beeker and Tsuki. In my free time I enjoy reading and crocheting and of course with my two cats on my lap!

Hi my name is Matt. I have been a part of KPR's wonderful play yard team since spring of 2015. KPR runs in my families blood, my brother and sister also worked here! My very important job here is to make sure that every single pet is loved on, played with and made to feel like they are a rockstar! In my free time I enjoy spending time outside and hanging out with my friends. I have an 8 year old Bulldog named Millie, who loves spending time outside just as much as I do.

Hello. This is Sean. On my free time I absolutely love to fix things including motocross bikes and trucks. I race frequently and love being challenged. I keep busy at KPR by offering love and affection to every dog that stays at my fantastic job. I have been a part of KPR’s team since late summer of 2015.

Hi! My name is Kayla and I've been familiar with Kountry Pet Resort for quite some time. As a kid I saw my older brother play with the dogs outside and it looked like so much fun! So as soon I was old enough I jumped right in as a play yard supervisor. My biggest passion is helping animals in any way I can and being their best friend. In my spare time I like taking my puppy "pip" hiking with me or taking my older dog "Ellie" outside to lay in the sun. KPR has been a great experience and has taught me so much on providing the best care for animals big and small. There is nothing I'd rather do!
